The magic lantern
A new commission for the Royal Opera House's Youth company (2019). Maxine, a poor traveller, uses boxes of light - called "Magic Lanterns" - to entertain the public on the streets of London. But with a slave master chasing her, will the Lanterns' magic help her to escape?
